La Utopia
Founded by Sophie De Ferranti in 2010, La Utopia is located just 90km from Buenos Aires. Situated in the beautiful tree lined 3,500 hectares of Estancia Benquerencia, La Utopia is a beautiful boutique styled cosy retreat just 15 minutes drive from the beautiful town of San Miguel del Monte.
Sophie is a British dressage rider/trainer of some 25 years having competed in Germany, Belgium and the UK prior to launching her equestrian and polo project in Argentina. As a full time senior executive in Global Cyber Security and Human Capital Management, Sophie dedicates her free time to promoting polo as a gender diverse and inclusive sport and is hugely passionate about philanthropy and animal welfare. At La Utopia we like to give something back. From each guest visit a donation is made to a local charity to help support our community, and in particular to provide veterinary care for injured or homeless animals.
Polo: Be it improving or simply learning the rules of play, the team at La Utopia caters for every level. Each polo experience is bespoke depending on a guest’s ability, with flexibility to accommodate small groups, families, junior riders and a specialism in hosting lady players. And we'll even launch our resident drone to capture those special moments on the pitch.
Oh.. and to make things easier, our instruction is available in both English and Spanish.

We take the stress (and expense) out of the packing by providing all the necessary equipment; mallets, boots, helmets and protection ... oh.. and not forgetting the horses of course (no need to worry about squeezing them in!!)

Without giving all our secrets away, at La Utopia we are proud to be unique.
From a la carte menus and wine pairings designed by our guests, to riding activities that stretch the imagination (yes we often ride at night with only the moon and glow bugs to guide) we really are quite different. And this is why our guests often come back year on year ... for more great experiences.
